Privacy Policy
Ikura Cart respects your privacy and keeps analysis data temporary.
1. Information we process
Ikura Cart may process price tag and receipt photos, detected text, item names, prices, cart data, shopping history, app language, display currency, and approximate exchange-rate information.
2. Image handling
- No permanent image storage: Price tag and receipt images are sent to our analysis server, used temporarily to read item names, prices and totals, and are not permanently stored in app storage, shopping history, or on our servers. They are discarded as soon as the analysis finishes.
- No secret keys in the app: Service keys are not included in the mobile app.
- Shopping history: Saved history is intended for your own reference.
3. Location
We use your location to show today's weather while you are in Japan. The feature is optional — declining the permission leaves every other part of the app working.
- Approximate only: the app does not request precise location. Forecasts are issued per prefecture-sized area, so nothing finer is needed.
- What it is used for: coordinates are used only to choose a Japan Meteorological Agency forecast area. We do not store them on our servers.
- Where it is kept: the last reading and its coordinates stay on your device to avoid repeat lookups, and are cleared once you leave Japan.
- No advertising or tracking: location is never used for ads or to track you.
4. External services
- Image analysis: An analysis server may be used to read text and prices. Original image data is handled temporarily for analysis.
- Exchange rates: Estimated converted amounts are based on recently updated exchange-rate data and are for reference only.
5. How your data is stored
Your shopping history is saved in your device's local storage and stays there until you delete it. There is no account system, so your personal shopping list is never stored on our servers.
