Please read these terms before using Ikura Cart.
1. Service purpose
Ikura Cart is a shopping support tool for travel in Japan. It reads price tags to help you keep track of your cart total, see an estimate in your own currency, and check a tax-free estimate.
2. Limits of the information we provide
- Converted amounts: Converted amounts are estimates based on recently updated exchange-rate data. Card fees and rate movements mean the amount you are actually charged may differ.
- Tax-free information: Tax-free estimates are based on Japan’s standard consumption tax rates (8% and 10%) and the minimum purchase for tax-free shopping (JPY 5,000 or more before tax). Whether a purchase qualifies, and the final amount, must be confirmed with the store; Ikura Cart does not guarantee them.
- Scan results: Reading text from a photo is never 100% accurate. Always check the item name and price before you rely on them.
3. Your responsibility
The information in Ikura Cart is for reference only. You are responsible for the purchase and payment decisions you make based on it.
4. Changes and interruptions
We may change or update features without prior notice to keep the service working well, and the service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or other unavoidable reasons.
